A linen-feel napkin is airlaid cellulose engineered to behave like cloth: it drapes over a lap instead of crumpling, it holds a fold, and it will not pill when a guest wipes the rim of a wine glass with it. Dinner size opens to about fifteen and a half inches square and folds to a quarter of that, with a woven-look texture pressed into the surface and an edge treatment that mimics a hemstitch. Guests routinely mistake them for laundered linen.

Because the surface is denser than tissue, printing holds more detail — fine serif type, thin rules and small crests all survive at size.
